Fairy tales

We all remember the bedtime stories of our childhoods. The shoes fits cinderella, the frog turns into a prince, sleeping beauty is awakened with a kiss. Once upon a time, happily ever after.
Fairy tales - the stuff of dreams.
The problem is fairy tales don't come true. It’s the other stories, the ones that begin in dark and stormy nights and end in the unspeakable. It’s the nightmares that always become reality.
I have a shadow. A dark cloud of fear that follows me. I pretend the shadow isn’t there, hoping that if I run faster and farther, it will get tired and give up the chase. But like they say…you can’t outrun your shadow.
The only way to get rid of a shadow is to turn off the lights, to stop running from the darkness and face what you fear, head on.With the right support I might be able to do that. Feel safe. How great would that be...
Once upon a time, happier ever after. The stories we tell are the stuff of dreams. Fairy tales don’t come true. Reality is much stormier. Much murkier. Much scarier. Reality is so much more interesting than living happily ever after. Or is it???

This is my reality and I'm so blessed to have such great people in my life. Even if you do yell at me and tell me things I don't want to hear. I'm glad you are....
So this video is my way of saying Love you loads!!

Summer

Finally summer is here in Gothenburg. Not the summer I'd like but summer non the less.
Last Friday the boys had their end of term day. It was amazingly beautiful this day. Hot, sunny....

Jocke and I went out to lunch with the boys after. It was quite nice to hang out. It's not often we do that, so for the boys' sake I was happy. Even if you as an ex couple aren't great anymore, you still have to make an effort for the boys.We all enjoyed that day.
The boys went with their dad after as it is his week. I went home, did laundtry (yay), cleaned up my flat while having wine and then I chatted on Skype on my sunny balcony until Anna got here later in the evening.

By the end of the night I was a tad drunk.
Note to self...Do not speak to friends in Australia when a bit pissed. Things gets lost in translation.
Poor Anna, she has issues understanding what we say sometimes. Slang and that. I mean, Fair Dinkum sounds like a chinese dish or something. LOL

I went to the passport office yesterday. Good lawd, don't ever go there on a Monday. In June. I had to wait for 2,5 hours to do a 1 minute passport photo. Like it's ridiculous. Not only was I pissed off ( mostly at myself for dragging it out ) cuz it took so long. I had spent the morning blow drying my hair and I had put mascara on and everything. I had to stand in the wind, getting my hair all messed up and my eyes were running and I got hungry and cranky. So when it was my turn it's very safe to say I did not look like I did when I left my flat earlier. So yes, that photo looked awful. I mean like shot me in the face with a shootgun kinda ugly. Thanks police/passport fuckers for only having ONE(!) office in the entire Gothenburg area.

I just found out the other day that my friend got deported from Thailand. 5 year ban too. It's insane how evil and nasty people can be to each other. Why can't you just leave other people alone if their not doing anything harmful to anyone? Jealousy is pretty common in the Farang community I've noticed more and more. Honestly, I'd be happy if anyone of the Farangs I know would be successful. Why would I not be?
Sure there are plenty of wanna be's and assholes around the Island, and some should return to the cave they came from. But I would never dob anyone in just to be nasty.

Anyway....I'm going to the city park with my friend and our kids for the day.

You all have a great day!!

Passport is kinda full so need a new one.

Best friends since 2008

This is what my summer looks like!!!
And Sweden is not there just yet.

Thought of the day....
Find someone that isn’t afraid to admit they miss you. Someone that knows you’re not perfect but treats you as if you are. Someone who couldn’t imagine losing you. Someone who gives their heart to you completely. Someone who says I love you and proves it. Last but not least, find someone who wouldn’t mind waking up to you in the morning, seeing your wrinkles and bird nest hair but still falls in love with you all over again.
