Thursday rant..

I need to air out some thoughts and emotions as I've had a few days now with arguments and hardship of reaching an understanding. Being in a long distance relationship would be a challenge, I was fully aware of that. I went through a fake relationship last year which took away a huge part of me and it has kinda made me look at certain things differently.
I've realized I have changed the way I think and the tolerance I have for uncalled-for-bullshit is pretty much non excisting. There are a lot of misunderstandings, demands, hypocracy and it is getting quite boring tbh.
For me, keeping your word is one of the most important elements to keep harmony in a long distance relationship or in any relationship. Keeping your word builds trust and respect, and makes everything much easier, because if you says it, you know it's happening. For example, if he tells you he's going to see you asap and you start to make plans to meet up and it doesn't happen for some crappy reason. Or if he tells you he loves you ( especially if he says you are the love of his life ), make sure he shows it, because remember, words fly as fast as the wind. It really does.
Being away doesn't mean he should stop being romantic. Being away means his body is away, not his heart, his soul, his mind. Make sure he takes care of the little details that make you happy. It's just the little things that keep the glow on the relationship (from both sides). He should know that without me having to point it out ever so often. That gets boring too...quite quickly.
Mostly I look forward to the longer chats with my boyfriend on his breaks ( as he works very long shifts and for weeks at a time), but those calls still don’t make up for not having him next to me. It’s even worse when you get invited to an event, and you’re missing your “plus one.” Lucky I have friends that can step up.
I have the boys every other week so when they go to their dad's I get real lonely. Don't get me wrong sometimes alone time is bliss. I can dance around in my pink one-piece all day and just watch anything I want on TV. But I do get ants in my pants easily and I need to socialize, interact with other adults.
Recently I re-discovered SnapChat as I said in another post. And FaceTime is awesome too. It doesn't compare to having someone to snuggle with tho.
Even if you aren’t miles apart, you want to find the right balance of interaction, and spice up communication with surprises here and there. You want to handle challenges as a team and become closer through them.
That my dear friends is a challenge in itself. Distance doesn‘t kill love; doubts do. Therefore I give my best in choosing love over doubt. But it's not a one way street. It takes two to tango. There is also time difference. It's either your friend or your enemy. Timing is everything. Time is the boss.
I wish we could have skype dinners and drinks once in a while. Just like we are hanging out if we were together.
7 hours sucks as it's never the right 7 hours for us. Especially when one is a night owl and the other goes up at the crack of dawn.

Knowing how you want it is the easy part...sticking it out and dealing with the emotional drain that comes with it is the hard part. Makes you question if it's worth it or not.....

Gasping for air

Been back in gothenburg about 10 days now. And I seriously can't wait to leave.
Sure it's been great having my own things and spending time with the boys. No doubt about that.
I just feel so incredibly restless. I absolutely hate the cold weather and it snows on and off still. Not enough to cover the ground but just enough to get you freezing, right into your bones.
Been spending the past 2 Saturday's at my friends house watching the melodyfestival. Shit songs as usual but that's part of it. I've enjoyed it. Dinner and drinks...what's not great about that.
Last Saturday it was Valentine's Day.
And I spent it with Tony, Malin and the boys.
Fuck Valentine's...you show the person you love every day that they are special. Why is this day so important? Why make the biggest fuss around it? Take me out on a date any given day. That's how you keep the relationship going strong. I don't get people that don't see that. As if a relationship fixes itself without any kinda efforts.

Anyway, I got a random msg from a friend in Melbourne that I haven't spoken to in a while. So we ended up FaceTiming. It Was really nice to catch up. Should do it more often I reckon.

I got a visit from Lena and baby Elizia the other day. Oh my goodness baby Elizia is the cutest baby. She's half Thai half swedish. They spent the night and I got to snuggle and bite her feet and just squeeze the baby. God, if you just knew how I miss that. If you just knew.....

I haven't gotten any work yet and it's starting to stress me out. Not only do I need to pay my bills, I need to save money to get the hell outta here too.
Songkran is calling me. My friends are calling me. Trav is calling me.
I've been applying and calling etc. But no luck as of yet.
Choose the parent of your future kids wisely, very very wisely.

I'm feeling slightly annoyed atm. Communication is key and keeping your promises is vital to me. Your promises are not just conditions of satisfaction you fulfill in the future; they are guarantees of integrity you honor in the present. And right now it has not been honored. Don't say things you don't mean and then think I will forget or be understanding when it affects me past, present and future. NOT A FUCKING CHANCE!

I keep getting snapchats from my friends in Phuket. And I feel myself gasping for air everytime. I'm not jealous at all. I'm very happy they are having fun and stuff. I just wish I was there too. I should of gone there my last couple of weeks. It's like a thorn in my side that I didn't.
My friends are my family. I have no family of my own aside from the boys. So my friends has filled that void in my heart.
Friends. A simple word isn’t it? It’s uttered everyday to almost every person imaginable. Who are your friends? I used to think that friends were the people that you could laugh and talk to. Now I know that friends aren’t that, they’re the people that touch your hearts. You could spend hours with them doing nothing at all and it can be the best time of your life, just because it was with them. They’re the people you can share your secrets with, cry with, laugh with, and just have fun with. They don’t judge you or make you change. They accept you exactly as you are. They look at you and they see a great person, one they love spending time with. You all share something in common and are tied together by memories, tears, laughs, and smiles. You’re tied together by love for the other. Friendship is the strangest but greatest thing in the world.

Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.
I'm lucky to have bus friends in my life. Not many but enough to make me feel blessed.
Love you all heaps....
