Priorities

Epiphany moments of the week. There has been a few walks down memory lane. It’s really painful to say goodbye to someone that you don’t want to let go of, but it’s even more painful to hold on to them if they never wanted to stay in the first place. If someone doesn’t show you love and acts as if you are unimportant most of the time, this may be a big clue as to the fact that you don’t need them in your life either. The only people you truly need in your life are those who respect you and want you to be in theirs. And priorities you and let's you feel it. 

Some people wait all day for 5pm, all week for Friday, all year for the holidays, all their lives for happiness. Don’t be one of them. Don’t wait until your life is almost over to realize how you could of lived it. How you wanted to live it. The good life begins right now, when you stop waiting for a better one. Or stay where you are just because you don't have the gutts to do something about it. One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now.

Halloween 2014

YES!!
It´s soon Halloween. Today's Halloween customs are thought to have been influenced by folk customs and beliefs from the Celtic-speaking countries, some of which have pagan roots, and others which may be rooted in Celtic Christianity. Evolving from the ancient Celtic holiday of Samhain, modern Halloween has become less about literal ghosts and ghouls and more about costumes and candy. The Celts used the day to mark the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter, and also believed that this transition between the seasons was a bridge to the world of the dead. Over the millennia the holiday transitioned from a somber pagan ritual to a day of merriment, costumes, parades and sweet treats for children and adults.

My personal outlook is that peachy cute costumes are not really Halloween-ish.
I love it bloody and scary and gory. I have celebrated (!) Halloween for years. Long before it became popular in this country. Maybe because I love to dress up and have fun with makeup and on this day it´s quite acceptable. I dunno. Or I just love a good party. We always had a party for the kids too. All the neigborhood kids were invited. I used to take my kids out trick-or treating. I did their makeup and off we went. So much fun. Cold as a motherF&¤#% but the boys loved it so I gladly did it.

Say what now???!!!

Lucky for me I had friends over Friday night for dinner and drinks. I didn't want to be alone. I needed to take my mind off the messages I got out of the blue from an ex and the dissapointment of the let down my brother dropped on me. Goes to show that blood is not thicker than water. And also you cannot...or should not love two people and stay in a relationship with someone that is not the love of your life. That's just twisted and wrong on so many levels. One should be involved and commited to one person only. In my opinion anyway..

There are times in our lives when love really does conquer all. Exhaustion, sleep deprivation, anything. And then there are those times when it seems like love brings us nothing but pain.
We are always looking for ways to ease the pain. Sometimes, we ease the pain by making the best of what we have. Sometimes, it’s by losing ourselves in the moment. And sometimes, all we need to do to ease the pain is call a simple truce.
