Got woken up at 5am by Trav. He came home a day earlier so that I wouldn't spend Aussie day without with him. What a nice thing to do. Thanks babe, I appreciate it heaps.
I got shit scared as I went to bed alone and I wasn't expecting anyone to touch me come morning.
I jumped out of bed, going for the night light to crack upon the presumed rapist head. But then I saw it was Trav. Would of been a great start to Aussie day going to the hospital with a cracked skull now wouldnt it.

Anyway. Slept a few more hours and then we got up to get ready to drive up to Lancelin about 1 hours from where we live.
We were meeting Ian there for some drinks and BBQ.
We went to the greatest pub. What a view. My goodness.
And it was so hot too. Probably +39. Frying but loving it.

After a couple of drinks at the pub we went to the beach. Unfortunately we got completely bogged in the sand. Lucky Ian lives close by and pulled us out with his car eventually.
We went back to his house for a feed and to our amusement he had snakes. And rats. And a dog named Sandy.
We had a great time. Proper Bogan Aussie day. Trav got wankered and fell asleep in the car going back home. Hahahahaha...poor Trav. Bugger all sleep for 2 days. It was a nice surprize that he rocked up to celebrate this day with me. I love surprizes.
Bush fires were all over the place. The air was packed with smoke going to Kinross. Still fires burning near our house. Smoke smell in our bedroom.
I had a great day. Absolutely love Australia Day.
I wish my own country could follow this example and be proud of who you are.
Our country is beautiful and we should reclaim our right to love it!!!
