Of all the weapons we take into battle, there is non more powerful than the mind.
It holds our instincts, emotions and our training. It allows us to destinguish friend from foe, love from hate. But if that weapon is unsound it is by no means disarmed. For the mind is all more dangerous when it's damaged.
And there is no guarantee that it won't choose its self as its victim.
Been thinking about this and having conversations with friends about this too...
Are we not allowed to be angry at kids anymore? Nothing they ever do wrong is ok to chastise because their fragile self esteems might be shaken? Bullshit.
I have no problem taking a harsh tone of voice with my kids over things they are not suppose to do. Pull out your opera glasses if they ever destroy my entire unit with baking flour or left their clothes and shit every where.
My kids know not to mess with my stuff. I'm not even sure why. Maybe I said something in the hospital when they were born like, "sugar is poison to children" or "monsters lives by mom's laptop aka Ms Sassy" etc. and it traumatized (trained!) their mushy little brains. Anyway, the gel is set. They know not to mess with mom's things, which is why I have never given a second thought to letting them be home alone with my laptop. They have their area for destruction; I have my laptop. Whatever they do on their laptop is upto them, well pretty much. No porn or violence of course. But my stuff Hands off. Goes without saying. But now they take Ms Sassy and abuse her.
Making me flipp out. And you are not allowed to do that. Let the kids do whatever the fuck they want. NO WAY!!!
We don't teach our kids to control themselves. No, we're supposed to puppeteer them until they're 23 years old then we wonder how come we have a generation of new graduates on our hands who can't tie their own shoes.
We need to be be able to express disappointment in kids. Maybe if the Instagram generation of parents quit with the "look at me" show and parenting wasn't such a exhibitionist activity, the generation of preschoolers right now might actually grow up to not be jerks. And maybe I can trust to leave the boys alone for a bit. And maybe the polar ice caps might not be melting. (Too far?)
This blog is about my life with my kids and our life in Thailand, Australia and Sweden. An uncoventional family dealing with the cards life has dealt us. Ups and downs, bliss and misery, trust and betrayal.

Just do it..
Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen.
Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.
A couple hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. “Never leave that ’till tomorrow,” he said, “which you can do today.”
This is the man who discovered electricity. You’d think more of us would listen to what he had to say. I don’t know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I’d say it has a lot to do with fear.
Fear of failure, fear of pain, fear of rejection…
Sometimes the fear is just of making a decision. Because, what if you’re wrong?
What if you’re making a mistake you can’t undo? Whatever it is we’re afraid of, one thing holds true… that, by the time the pain of not doing a thing, gets worse than the fear of doing it, it can feel like we’re carrying around a giant tumor.
So dont just wait for it. Make it happen. Actions over words, as I go by these days.
I also want to say CONGRATS to N.S.W for winning the state of origin yesterday. 1.st win in nine (9!!) loooog years. Well done Blues.
I'm having a lazy day since I don't have the boys until Friday and I have a day off so I am, without shame or guilt, still half naked in bed blogging. And going through photos and videos. I had almost forgotten that I have a youtube thingy where my videos are. That was fun to watch. Phuket mostly.
I sooo miss it. Lucky for me I'm going back shortly. I have a feeling it's gonna be amazing.
I probably already posted this but it's just so many great memories behind every one of these photos I got all sentimental. Well some photos of some people can actually get fucked.
With a rusty chain saw up the bum.

I dare you....
Today I went to work. It was actually kinda fun as I had pretty sweet co-workers today. 2 guys and a lady. I was a bit tired this morning after having a 2am something chat to Australia. ( I promise it's OK no worries luv.) I looked at my schedule and totally looked at the wrong date or something. I worked 1,5 hours more than I had to.
I just noticed it when I got home and checked my calendar again. That sucked.
I have two days off now...ha...make that three because it's Midsummer on Friday. Whoop whoop...or not. I'm working the weekend so I can't all in.
First midsummer back here in years and I'm working.
Well the aim is Phuket so I'm not going to complain, too much.
Gonna be at Tony's and pig out on strawberrycake and wine.
You know how people say, ‘Who knows, I could get hit by a bus tomorrow!’
That seems pretty far fetched. Until you have a friend who got hit by a bus.
The point is, you never know what kind of day is coming.
I have come to believe that the universe has a plan for me that never crossed my mind. That it is somehow written in the stars or whatever. Everything happens for a reason so whenever we think we know the future, even for a second, it changes. Sometimes the future changes quickly and completely and we’re left only with the choice of what to do next. We can choose to be afraid of it. To stand there trembling, not moving. Assuming the worst that can happen or we step forward into the unknown and assume it will be brilliant.

Sunday morning
Laying in bed on a Sunday morning. Feeling pretty good. Have had some weird dreams and I've tossed and turned. Razmus slept in my bed and he has tried to push me out of the bed numerous times haha. Luqas is staying at Oliver's. Spoke to Oz just before I went to bed. I really enjoy those talks. Sucks it's such a time difference. But we've made it work real good considering.
We do not get unlimited chances to have the things that we want, and this I know. Nothing is worse than missing an opportunity that could've changed your life.
The expected is what keeps us steady. It's the unexpected that changes our lives forever.
You know how when you were a kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be: white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes, and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is it's hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has the smallest bit of hope, or faith, that one day they'll open their eyes and it will come true.
