Old friends

I was suppose to go out with heaps of people yesterday. But it ended up just being me and my old friend Tawar. *will be referred to as Baba from now on* We have know each other since we were kids. Like 8 years old or something. I'm very happy we went out. Had a lot of catching up to do.
Talked about Thailand of course. Looked at pictures. Heaps of pictures. And what's going on in my life atm and his life. We had a few drinks at mine first. Baba tried to get the sing star going but failed. He nicely pointed out that he thought my PS stuff was all over the place. NO....he made it messy when taking out every cord, stick and microphones I have to try to make it work.
We agreed that it was best to leave it alone and stick to drinking.

Had the funniest taxi driver ever take us into town. Kemal! I swear he was pumping out tunes in the car so loud and he had lights flashing. He sat there with his remote control feeling like he was the boss. We took his number and he ended up driving us several times during the night.

Baba and I started at Park Lane as I said in an earlier post. Kept drinking and dancing. I slipped on the dance floor and sat on my bum.
Note to self- tequila is not the best thing to drink when wearing stilettos and attempting to dance like Jennifer Lopez.

After Club Queer we ended up at a strip club. Wanda's. Not the classiest place in town, but it was good fun. Somewhere around early morning we called Kemal to take us home in his disco taxi.

We both got pretty drunk and I don't know why it seemed like a good idea to video us at that state but I did. And I am going to show you why you never ever should drink tequila.
.

Just got a phone call from my girl Paradise. Asking me to come out again tonight. I have nothing else to do so why not. Besides...hair of the dog and all that

A hung-over thought of the day..

There are times in our lives when love really does conquer all. Exhaustion, sleep deprivation, anything. And there are those times when it seems love brings us nothing but pain.
We’re always looking for ways to ease the pain. Sometimes we ease the pain by making the best of what we have. Sometimes it’s by losing ourselves in a moment and sometimes, all we need to do to ease the pain is call a simple truce.

Heard this song yesterday and I instantly thought of a person. Dysfunctional and sick.

Thank you Baba for a fun and eventful night.
You rock dude...for real!!

Thursday thoughts.....

The human life is made up of choices. Yes or no, in or out, up or down. And then there are the choices that matter. To love or hate, to be a hero or to be a coward, to fight or to give in, to live or die, stay or move on, that’s the important choices and it’s not always in our hands.
I’ll say it again to make sure you hear me. The human life is made up of choices.

Stay or move on, that’s an important choice and it’s not always in our hands.
They say there’s one sure sign of a successful negotiation. It’s that when the parties leave the table, they feel like they have been screwed. The goal is a compromise, a situation where both you and your partner wins

The waiting can kill you.
You make a decision and then the world has it’s turn. The consequences unfold out of your hands. There’s only one thing that seems clear in those quiet moments while you wait.
You chose wrong.
We just want to survive the storm. We pray “Please, just get me to the other side.” We never imagine what it will be like when we get there. What if when the storm passes nothings left?
I always said I could handle anything. I was wrong. I have been wrong about heaps of things. But I was right about one thing.
I was right about this......

Decorating

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas and I am getting more and more stressed out how to handle it. It is my first Christmas in Sweden since a long time. Years.

Lucky for me I get to spend Christmas with people that matters the most and that means a lot to me. I am a holiday gal. Not so traditional when it comes to most things but the holidays are big to me. And birthdays and anniversaries. Very important.

I have started on my Christmas gift shopping. Will continue next week or even this weekend if I am up to it.

I am going out tomorrow with friends. And remembering last time, it got pretty crazy. So I am preparing myself this time round. Cooking dinner first. Eat massively.... or maybe not. Having to roll my way to the city is not attractive. But eat so I am full and not start on the wine until 6 pm. Who am I kidding. First glass directly after work!! And color my hair or something. While tipsy. Or...I just get my Aussie friend to do it. Bet he'd love that. Hahahaha.....
Oi...you missed a spot!! We need another drink!!
Need to go and get leggings or stockings so I can wear that dress and corset I have pictured in my mind. Heels are a given. Or maybe boots. Nah..my glitter stiletto shoes goes well with the outfit.
We are going to a thing that 2 of my old friends are organizing in one of Gothenburg's most famous clubs.
A "special" party and I know it's gonna be awesome.

Strayed from the subject as usual. I'm good at rambling. And getting off topic aren't I.
I put some Christmas decorations up yesterday. Curtains and lights. Looks nice and cozy. I have heaps of boxes with Christmas things. I had to toss some out. My flat is 75square meters and coming from 150 leaves minimal space for everything.
I really like it when it's cozy and the lights brings that extra cozy factor to it.

Past Christmas eve's. As you see...it's been in Thailand. So I feel a bit lost atm.

Christmas party in Kamala

Decorating the tree at Nana Chard

Annual Christmas eve snorkeling at Similan Islands.

Christamas dinner at Kyile and Albert's

Last Christmas was my very first without the boys. And I am so grateful for my friends that helped me through it. It was hard. I worked all Christmas at the bar to keep me busy.

Christmas drinks with friends in Kamala

Not to be picky....but I deserve and I'm worth it :) take notes ladies :)

Leaving you with a song that played a lot during last winter. A lot.....

Leave well enough alone

Some think intuition is a gift. But it can also be a curse as well…a voice calling us from places that are better left unexplored, an echo of memories that will never die…no matter how hard we try to kill them.

When at a crossroads, my mom was fond of saying “Go with your gut.” “Intuition,” she said, “Always has our best interests at heart.” It is a voice that can tell us who is friend and who is foe… which ones to hold at arms length… and which ones to keep close. But too often, we become distracted with fear, doubt, and our own stubborn hopes, and refuse to listen.

We speak in hushed voices, so as not to wake our memories, the things we’ve done, the things we’ll continue to do, for fear of breaking the cycle, how fierce we were when we were young, when we were unafraid of coming unhinged.

A very old post

Alex reminded me of my first blog I had today. I started blogging like 2006. When friends of mine were getting married. I started blogging alongside the bride and the bride's sister-in-law. Back then I wrote in Swedish, which is way easier for me and It's more fun to read since I write differently.
Usually when I blog here I write quick and make heaps of mistakes. it sounds so much better and more my words come out better than when I write in English. Well, if I give it an extra minute or so I get it done in English too. Anyway I found this and I remember when I wrote this.
I am very outspoken and I like to color my stories so you get a picture of it. Nasty...well yeah sometimes but you are free to stop at any given moment.

I used Google translate to see if it translated it as well as I thought it would. It didn't. Not even close. You get the idea of what I am saying but you miss the punch line's.

Anyway. I gave it a fair go.

Take care...

Well ... after work I had to rush home for a quick sponge of the Yahoo and then off to the g.y.n.
It was a very nice midwife I got, I must say. We talked about this and that and voila I was half naked and climbing up the notorious chair. A spatula, mascara brush and two fingers later, mission accomplished. Response of approximately in 4 weeks.

Jocke came home a little earlier today, was supposed to meet Mrs. Kolb for discussions. We actually had time to go and buy a vacuum cleaner. Brand: Siemens Model: Dyna Power XXL. It will get soooooo clean at home. I mean DYNA POWER!! W.O.W! :)

The dialogue was great. She is pleased with Raz and thinks he is very smart, if somewhat distracted. But hey ... he is 5 years.

Now time to do some homework with my children. Then "Grey's" tonight.

Take care ...

Nostalgia

Sunday noon and I´m laying on my couch, as you should on a lazy Sunday. I had a friend over for dinner and wine last night. Had a good time. Talked about heaps of things and got some really good tips or points of view. I got msgs from the bush, as they call it. Nice to be the first to get msged when connection is found. He's back in civilization next week. Proper speak then.

I am missing my friends so much now. Always on a lazy a bit hungover...nah..not hungover but -ish day I get sentimental and whenever I have spoken to one of them and they want me to come back or they tell me what they are up to I get this feeling of loneliness and longing. But I'm keeping my options open.

They say grief occurs in five stages. First, there’s denial… …followed by anger. Then comes bargaining, depression, and acceptance. But grief is a merciless master. Just when you think you’re free, you realize you never stood a chance.

These guys took such good care of me when I had my accident. I will always be forever grateful.

Quiz on ya face won the "phukets smartest" We won twice actually. Thank you white wine and Tiger beer.
Mai Khao beach.
Only memories now.....

My sweet wonderful friends

Im so sorry if this song offends anyone. But this song is hilarious. Unfortunately for most of you it's in Swedish.
Eddie Meduza was Swedens most provocative and redneck singer ever. R.I.P
He is the hillbilly house god. And this song became famous to the general Swedish population when a redneck was on "big brother" and sang it all the time.
I absolutely love it.
